Manage Store

The Manage Store function will help sellers to maximize their business by creating a dedicated professional-looking store for displaying promotional banners and products. Sellers can access store building function in Seller Portal that can be managed to promote their business.

Available for Standard, Professional and Enterprise members. Please note, Standard members have limited features to Manage Store function, to learn more about upgrading membership and for complete instructions, please review our Newegg Elite Seller guide.

Available platform: Newegg.com

Store Front for Standard Seller

To get started with setting up Store Front (Standard), follow steps below.

Steps:

Set Navigation of Store

The first step is to select available subcategories that will be displayed under Navigation for Store Front page. Newegg customers will be able to navigate through seller’s items under its specific subcategories.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Store > Store Front
  2. Add a category to navigation.
    • Click Select subcategory at here to view Newegg category list.
    • Click on a category then it will unfold and list all its subcategories for that specified category.
    • Select the subcategory to display.
  3. Re-arrange the order of category for Store Front Navigation.
    • Selecting the category and click UP or DOWN to position it accordingly under Navigation.
    • To remove a category from Navigation from the Store Front, select the category then click REMOVE.
  4. Click CONTINUE to move forward.

Set Banner of Store

The second step is to add a banner on the top of Store Front. A maximum of 4 banners can be added.

Banner image requirement:

  • The dimension must be 1920 x 360 pixels. For the best results on all devices and different browsers, please create your banners using the following guidelines:
    • The safe area for the essential content: 1000 x 360 pixels
    • The safe area for text: 900 x 300 pixels
  • File size must be less than 5MB.
  • File format accepted is JPG, JPEG, or PNG.

Note: Larger images may result in a cropped view on certain devices.

How-To:

  1. Click ADD NEW IMAGE to create a banner.
  2. Add a title for the banner. This will be seen above banner.
  3. Click ADD IMG to upload the banner to Newegg system.
  4. [Optional] Add URL link for the banner.
  5. Activate or deactivate banner.
  6. Prioritize banners.
  7. [Optional] Schedule start and end date/time of banner to list at storefront page.
  8. Review uploaded banners. Click the back or forward arrow to review all banners.
  9. At least one active banner is required to proceed further. Click CONTINUE to move forward.

Set Featured Item of Store

The final step is to setup featured items a minimum of 8 to a maximum of 48 can be promoted for Store Front page. The minimum requirement is 8 featured items.

How-To:

  1. Add item(s) to feature in Store Front page.
    • ADD, use this if known the specific item number to add the featured item. This process is designed adding the item one at a time.
    • ADD ITEM BY BATCH, download template and input the featured items in template. Click Download File Template, in template enter all required information, save the file, when all information inputted.  Click Browse and find the file in the local drive then click OK to upload the featured item(s).
    • SEARCH ITEM, search for the item(s) directly in Newegg account. Select the item(s) to feature. When done click OK to add the featured item(s) then click CANCEL to get out of item selection page.
  2. Change the position of each featured item(s) under Store Front page by updating the Priority, 1 being the first position and the last position will be dependent on the number of featured items you have entered, max is 48. Click REFRESH PRIORITY to view new order.  View or delete featured items.
    • View featured item on Newegg website click icon under Action column:
    • Select featured item(s) by checking on its checkbox or select uppermost checkbox to select all then click DELETE SELECTED ITEM(S).
  3. Click SUBMIT to complete the setup.

Premium Store Front for Professional or Enterprise Seller

To get started with setting up Store Front (Professional and Enterprise), follow steps below.

Steps:

  1. Set Top Banner
  2. Set Categories
  3. Set Featured Items
  4. Set Customized HTML (Optional)
  5. Set Top Navigation (Optional)
  6. Complete the Setup Process
Set Top Banner

The first step is to add banners on top of Store Front page. A maximum of 4 banners can be added.

Banner image requirement:

    • The safe area for text: 900 x 300 pixels

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Store > Store Front
  2. Click ADD NEW IMAGE to create the banner.
  3. Add a title for the banner. This will be seen above banner.
  4. Click ADD IMG to upload the banner to Newegg system.
  5. [Optional] Add URL link for banner if there is landing page available for the current banner.
  6. Status: Activate or deactivate the current banner.
  7. Set the priority for each banner. This dictates the order of banners displaying on Store Front page.
  8. [Optional] Schedule start and end date/time of banner to list on Store Front page.
  9. Review uploaded banners. Click the back or forward arrow to review all banners.
  10. Important! At least one active banner is required to proceed further. Click PREVIEW to view Store Front page OR NEXT to move forward.

Set Categories

The second step, select available subcategories that will be displayed under the Store Front page. Customers are able to navigate the seller’s items under its specific subcategories.

How-To:

  1. Select category style (Minimum of 3 columns should be selected). Identify how many categories and the format that would be displayed on the Store Front page.
  2. Category Only links a category listed in the seller’s Newegg seller store. Or, Category and Subcategories link a category and multiple subcategories in Store Front page. Make a selection Category Only or Category and Subcategories then click on the pencil icon to set categories options:
    • Category Only:
      • Category Type:
        • Website Category: Choose a Category from listings. (This can be applied to the section of “Category and Subcategories” as well), the URL link will be auto-generated from your selection.
        • Custom Link: Enter a Title. Input the URL link for a designed landing page in Newegg.com. For example, a link of the direct search result within your listings or a promotional landing page from Newegg marketing team. (This can be applied to the section of “Category and Subcategories” as well)
      • Image URL: Direct image from the product listed in Newegg. Please know the Seller Part# or NE Item# for the image that you will be using beforehand.
      • Priority: Move position by priority.
      • Status: Set to be active (show link) or de-active (don’t show link).
    • Category and Subcategories:
      • Click + ADD NEW CHILD CATEGORY to add subcategories under Category.
      • Category Type:
        • Website Category: Click the pencil icon to choose a Category from store account, the URL link will be auto-generated from the selection.
        • Custom Link: Enter a Title. Input the URL link for a landing page in Newegg.com. For example, a link of the direct search result within your listings or a promotional landing page from Newegg marketing team.
      • Priority: Move position by priority.
      • Status: Set to be active (show link) or de-active (don’t show link).
  3. Enter the information for all required fields then click SUBMIT to continue. (Repeat steps 2 and 3 mentioned above till all categories have been entered)
  4. After completing all categories, click PREVIEW to view Store Front page OR NEXT to move forward.
Set Featured Items

The third step is to add featured items to Store Front page.

How-To:

  1. Add item(s) to feature in Store Front page:
    • ADD ITEM, use this if known the specific item number to add the featured item. This process is designed adding the item one at a time.
    • BATCH ADD, download template and input the featured items in template. Click Download File Template, in template enter all required information, save the file, when all information inputted.  Click Browse and find the file in the local drive then click OK to upload the featured item(s).
    • SEARCH ITEMS, search for the item(s) directly in Newegg account. Select the item(s) to feature. When done click OK to add the featured item(s) then click CANCEL to get out of item selection page.
  2. Change the position of each featured item(s) under Store Front page by updating the Priority.
  3. View featured item on Newegg website click icon under Action column:
  4. Delete featured item(s), select featured item(s) by checking on its checkbox or select uppermost checkbox to select all then click REMOVE SELECTED ITEMS.
  5. Click NEXT to move forward.

Set Customized HTML (Optional)

The fourth step, sellers may add HTML tags to the Store Front page. This step is optional, click NEXT to skip.

How-To:

  1. Please review what is not allowed and guidelines.
  2. Enter the well-formatted message in HTML or upload an image banner or video clip.
  3. Important! All customized HTML message or video clip will be reviewed by Newegg team. The review status will be displayed on the bottom of the section:
    • Draft: Saved but not submitted yet.
    • Pending: Submitted and waiting for review. It will take up to 7 business days for the review process. If the status has not updated after 7 business days, please contact our Newegg Marketing team for assistance.
    • Approved: Reviewed and approved. Currently, live in Store Front page.
    • Declined: Content does not meet Newegg’s requirement. Please correct the input then submit again.
  4. When complete, click PREVIEW to verify how it will be displayed or click NEXT to move forward.

Set Top Navigation (Optional)

The fight step, setup available top navigation menu that will be displayed on the top of the Store Front page. There are two options available: direct link and drop-menu with subpages. This step is optional, click SUBMIT FOR APPROVAL to skip and complete.

Please note: After clicking SUBMIT FOR APPROVAL all changes to the storefront will be reviewed prior to being published on Newegg’s website. If changes to Store Front are not reflected after 3 business days, contact our Newegg Marketing team for assistance.

How-To:

  1. Adding direct link, click + ADD LINK TAB.
    • Enter the information for all required fields. Input the URL link for a designed landing page in Newegg.com. For example, a link of the direct search result within your listings or a promotional landing page from Newegg Marketing team.
    • Click SUBMIT to move forward.
  2. Adding drop-menu with subpages, click + ADD DROP DOWN TAB.
    • Enter the information for all required fields for the Tab Name. Select a Style for the links.
      • Campaign: Adds a direct link and sub link.
      • Text Link: Adds a direct link.
    • Click + ADD NEW CAMPAIGN OR +ADD NEW TEXT LINK depending on Style chosen.
      • Enter the information for all required fields for the drop-menu. NOTE:
        • Long title and link: Available for text and campaign.
        • Subtitle and link: Available for the campaign.
        • For long and sub-links, input the URL link for a designed landing page in Newegg.com. For example, a link of the direct search result within your listings or a promotional landing page from Newegg marketing team.
        • Image URL: Available for the campaign. Know Seller Part# or NE Item# of the product that will be used for the image.
        • Priority: Move position by priority. Available for text and campaign.
        • Status: Set to be active (show link) or de-active (don’t show link). Available for text and campaign.
      • Click SUBMIT to continue.
    • Click SUBMIT to complete addition of links for Tab Name OR click + ADD NEW… to add more links.
Complete the Setup Process

The final step is to review and submit the Store Front page.

How-To:

  1. Complete the Store Front setup with the following options:
    • Click PREVIEW to verify current configurations or updates.
    • Click SAVE & CLOSE to save updates as a draft and come back to edit soon before submitting the request.
    • Click SUBMIT FOR APPROVAL if the setup of your Premium Store Front is completed and ready to go live. Please note:
      • All changes to the Store Front will be reviewed prior to being published on Newegg’s website. If changes to the Store Front page have not reflected after 3 business days, contact our Newegg Marketing team for assistance.
