Important Updates to Changes in the Newegg Marketplace Policy

The following is effective December 1, 2020.

Doing business with Newegg Marketplace just got easier. Recent changes to our Seller Agreement and Policies will make it easier for sellers to scale their business and streamline their operations.

A valid credit card will be required for all sellers on Newegg Marketplaces.

  1. When will my credit card information be required?
    • Effective December 1, 2020, a valid credit card must be required for all sellers on Newegg Marketplaces.
    • Your payment may be withheld if you fail to do so. For information on how to update your credit card information, please click here.
    • Newegg will charge your credit card if you purchase any Newegg value-added services such as:

      In case of insufficient funds in your account, your credit card will be charged.

  2. How can I add or update my credit card information in Newegg Seller Portal?
    You can add or update credit card information in Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Setting > Tab-Account Information > Tab-Financial Information > Section-Credit Card Settings
  3. Will my current Newegg value-added services be affected if credit card information is not provided or credit card charges fail?
    Yes. All of your current Newegg value-added services will be disabled if credit card information is not provided or updated in the Seller Portal.
  4. What kind of credit card does Newegg accept?
    Newegg accepts all internationally chargeable credit cards (eg. Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
  5. How do I sign up for an Elite Membership and redeem my 2 free months of Professional?
    Effective December 1, 2020: Elite Membership will be available to both B2B and Canada Marketplace Sellers.
    Once you have entered your credit card information, go here and you can select to join our Professional or Enterprise membership. Once you have joined the Elite Membership on any Newegg platform, the membership benefits will apply to all Newegg platforms (Newegg.com, Neweggbusiness.com and Newegg.ca). Pricing are as follows:After you have signed up for Professional Membership, please contact MarketplaceSupport@newegg.com to claim your free 2 months. You will be charged and then refunded within a week.

Payment to Seller Will Be Based on Actual Delivery Date

  • Newegg.com and Newegg.ca Sellers: Payment to sellers will be made based on actual delivery date plus 7 calendar days.
  • Neweggbusiness.com Sellers: Payment to sellers will be made based on actual delivery date plus 25 calendar days.
    1. What if my package does not have tracking information?
      Sellers using non-authorized carriers or shipping without tracking will be paid based on the latest estimated delivery date plus 7 calendar days for Newegg.com and Newegg.ca sellers; 25 calendar days for Neweggbusiness.com Sellers. We encourage you to utilize our Preferred Shipper list in Seller Portal with tracking to be paid faster.
      For items shipping to APO/FPO addresses, sellers will be paid 30 calendar days from invoice date.

California Consumer Privacy Act

  1. Sellers should comply with the updated language regarding the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Amendments Pertaining to the Seller Policy

  1. In order to maintain our Marketplace quality, failure to meet both valid tracking rate and on-time delivery rate requirements for two consecutive months may lead to an account suspension. (More information)
  2. A $30 USD ($42 CAD) fee will be applied to international wire transfers. Others remain unchanged.
  3. All orders less than $1 USD ($1.50 CAD) will be charged $0.30 USD ($0.45 CAD) instead of the standard commission.
  4. Commission rate drop:
    • Home Improvement category is now 10%
  5. Non-Elite sellers will be charged a $0.49 USD ($0.70 CAD) fee per unique SKU sold per month. This fee is waived for all Elite Sellers.

Note: The transaction fee will be charged in the currency primarily used on the website where the transaction originated. For the membership fee, the seller will be charged in the currency primarily used on the website where the main account is hosted.
