IMPORTANT IMPROVEMENTS
Seller Portal Scheduled Maintenance
On July 8, 2022, all Newegg platforms, including the Newegg Marketplace System, will undergo a brief optimization maintenance cycle. These systems will be down for approximately 3.5 hours, starting at 7:30 PM PST and scheduled to end at 11 PM PST. Please plan for this pending outage accordingly.
Customer Message Function
We have redesigned the Marketplace Seller Portal customer messaging function on all platforms. This update aims to improve productivity and the seller’s experience while engaging with customers. New features allow sellers to quickly query and display customer and order information on the same page to facilitate efficient communication. Other features include creating data variable message templates, filtering and displaying messages by date, the response needed, and if the message is starred or unread. These optimizations were designed to provide sellers with useful tools to allow seamless communication with their customers.
Export Orders Function Available
The Export Orders function has returned to Seller Portal 3.0. Sellers may use this feature to export information from the Newegg Marketplace system. This function allows sellers to quickly generate spreadsheets and efficiently organize order data with ease.
UPC Enforcement
New UPC enforcement are in effect for top selected subcategories. This measure aims to increase the accuracy of product listings and ensure customers find the exact products they are searching for. Avoid mis-categorization, ensure product listing precision, and drive customer traffic to your listings through proper UPC enforcement.
SKU Limitation
Marketplace sellers no longer receive automatic overrides when exceeding their product SKU limits. Instead, Newegg tiers SKU limits according to a seller’s membership level:
- Non-Elite: 500 SKUs
- Professional: 5,000 SKUs
- Enterprise: 10,000 SKUs
Business Report Dashboard on Seller App
An update launched for the Newegg Seller App includes new features to assist sellers with account management. This upgrade provides sellers with key account metrics at a glance. Use this dashboard to quickly view account performance, top item performance, and compare items via different metrics to strategize best practices for your seller account.

Seller Payment Disbursement
We are implementing changes to the seller payment disbursement process. This policy change directly links seller payment to order delivery. It is designed to assist sellers with achieving higher customer retention through timely order fulfillment and uploading accurate tracking information.
WHI Database Migration
Newegg will no longer use the WHI database to store automotive item data. This migration will not impact marketplace operation.
