IMPORTANT IMPROVEMENTS
Batch Upload for Item Deletion
Sellers now have the option to batch items for deletion to quickly remove multiple items from their account list. This update streamlines item management and enhances the Seller Portal utility to help sellers save time through easier item administration. This new action follows a similar process to Batch Item Creation/Update in the Seller Portal.
Sales and Traffic Report
The exclusive Sales and Traffic Report is now available to Elite sellers. The Sales and Traffic Report is a robust tool that provides sellers insights into key customer metrics. The report equips sellers with powerful analytics, including customer daily, weekly, and annual session/interaction count, product Page Views, Orders Sold, and the combined percentages of views/hits relative to a seller’s items.
Improved RMA Process
Improving the customer experience is essential for growing a seller’s business. With that in mind, we enhanced the RMA process for Marketplace sellers to process RMA requests quickly and effortlessly. As a result, sellers spend less time dealing with RMA requests while boosting customer satisfaction.
SBN Multi-Channel Fulfillment
Newegg Marketplace sellers who opted-in to the Shipped by Newegg (SBN) program will be able to fulfill non-Newegg orders automatically through the Seller Portal.
Enjoy operation cost and time savings by eliminating manual order creations for non-Newegg platforms with our one-stop omnichannel fulfillment service.
COMING SOON
SKU Limitation Update
Beginning May 31st, Marketplace sellers will no longer receive automatic overrides when exceeding their product SKU limits. Instead, Newegg tiers SKU limits according to a seller’s membership level, with Enterprise receiving 10,000 SKUs, Professional receiving 5,000 SKUs and non-Elite receiving 500 SKUs.
June WHI Database Migration
Newegg will no longer use the WHI database to store automotive item data in mid-June. This migration will not impact marketplace operations. More information on this will follow in the next Operational update.
UPC Enforcement Will Be in Effect
New UPC enforcement requirements will soon be in effect for top selected subcategories. This measure aims to increase the accuracy of product listings and ensure customers find the exact products for which they are searching. Avoid mis-categorization, ensure product listing precision, and drive customer traffic to your listings through proper UPC enforcement.
Restocking Fee Adjustment
We want to alert marketplace sellers about waiving restocking fees for specific RMA categories, which will occur in the coming months. For example, the exemption to the restocking fee will only include the following categories: items marked Unopened, Used Items, and items returned under RMA reason – Carrier Return.
This optimization will help make RMAs more convenient, increase customer satisfaction, and improved Seller Performance metrics. Please see future Operational Updates for more details on this pending policy change.
Seller Payment Disbursement
In June, we are implementing changes to the seller payment disbursement process. This policy change directly links seller payment to order delivery. It is designed to assist sellers with achieving higher customer retention through timely order fulfillment and uploading accurate tracking information.
Content Violations Metrics
Changes to Seller Performance metrics are coming soon, and we want to give you details on these pending modifications. A new metric, Content Violations, provides an additional indicator to evaluate sellers. Content Violations cover a variety of categories involving listed items aimed at reducing inaccurate product details, redundant items or images, and other item violations that could impact customer satisfaction and seller performance.
BuyBox Logic Improvement
Exciting new refinements to BuyBox shipping times allow sellers to use their specific shipping windows instead of the previous minimum and maximum shipping times. This optimization will help sellers improve BuyBox shipping lead times for improved Seller Performance metrics.
RMA Rejection
The RMA rejection process will be changing, and sellers will have a new appeal/return type available for handling RMAs. The new appeal type Request to Reject RMA, may be used for RMAs issued under the categories of Damaged Item and Other Reasons.
