Starting on June 27, 2023, online marketplaces (e.g., Newegg) covered by the INFORM Consumers Act must collect and verify information on a large number of third-party sellers of consumer goods. information and disclose “high-volume sellers” information to consumers.

Authorized Shipping Carrier List
Sellers should always ship orders with a carrier approved by Newegg Marketplace and in a manner that provides a valid, tracking number. To do so, sellers will no longer be able to input their own shipping carrier. Sellers will need to select a carrier authorized by our Newegg Marketplace.
Newegg Marketplace Sales Tax Collection
Newegg is the seller of record on any sellers’ products sold on Newegg websites. Newegg will calculate, display, and charge customer sales tax for sellers’ product orders shipped to certain states. And Newegg will remit Sales Taxes to the tax authority of the following jurisdictions respectively.

Seller Portal Scheduled Maintenance
On July 8, 2022, all Newegg platforms, including the Newegg Marketplace System, will undergo a brief optimization maintenance cycle. These systems will be down for approximately 3.5 hours, starting at 7:30 PM PST and scheduled to end at 11 PM PST. Please plan for this pending outage accordingly.
ANNOUNCEMENT: UPC Enforcement Effective Monday, June 27th
UPC Enforcement Purpose
New UPC enforcement requirements will be in effect for selected top subcategories beginning Monday, June 27th. This measure aims to increase the accuracy of product listings and ensure customers find the exact products they desire. The policy goal is to minimize miscategorized listings, ensure product listing precision, and reduce RMAs while driving customer traffic to your listings through proper UPC enforcement.

Batch Upload for Item Deletion
Sellers now have the option to batch items for deletion to quickly remove multiple items from their account list. This update streamlines item management and enhances the Seller Portal utility to help sellers save time through easier item administration. This new action follows a similar process to Batch Item Creation/Update in the Seller Portal.

API Available to Non-Elite Sellers
API is now available for Non-Elite sellers. We understand how important it is to manage all your items and orders, and having an API without the added cost will help your business run a lot smoother. However, there is a limitation on the usage for Non-Elite sellers. API usage will be capped at 20% of an Elite Seller’s usage limits.
Seller Payment Disbursement
Seller Payment Disbursement Update
We implemented changes to the seller payment disbursement process, connecting order tracking and delivery to seller payouts.
Please note that sellers are required only to utilize Newegg’s authorized carriers, all of whom provide valid tracking numbers for parcels.
Under this new system, payments are released based on the following metrics:
- On Newegg.com and Newegg.ca, Sales Orders displaying accurate tracking and showing a delivered status, payment to the seller will be made based on the order’s actual delivery date plus 7 calendar days.

UPC Required TBA
In an effort to provide the best shopping experience for our mutual customers, Newegg will be enforcing UPC requirements (verified through GS1) for select subcategories. Marketplace Sellers will be required to provide accurate UPCs for items created under determined subcategories. UPC code requirements may vary across subcategories. When listing items, sellers must use the correct product identifier. Any use of false UPC codes is prohibited. We will be providing more information to sellers soon.

Please start using our Pricing Safeguard feature which helps sellers prevent incorrect pricing updates. Once enabled and price rules are properly set up, all your listings will be safeguarded from selling at a cost that was mistakenly set. Newegg is ready for you to do business again! We’re pleased to announce 14 new Categories and 148 new Sub-categories for Vehicle-Specific Auto Parts, Tires, Wheels, and Accessories in the Automotive Store on Newegg.com. Because these new Categories depend on structured data to validate fitment by vehicle (Year, Make, Model, Trim, Engine), the SKU onboarding process is different than you normally see on the Newegg Seller Portal. To make it easy, we have set up a special email for these requests: automotive@newegg.com is where you can request the Automotive Team to review the file of SKU’s for approval or any other questions you may have.

Updates to the Newegg International Shipping Program Marketplace Seller Terms & Conditions
Newegg has made the following changes to the Newegg International Shipping Program (“NISP”) Marketplace Seller Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”):
• The risk of loss and damage to a Newegg International Shipping Program product will remain with Sellers, except for when the product has been received and accepted by Newegg’s U.S. Order Processing Centers and is in Newegg’s possession awaiting export, but once the product has been tendered to the carrier for export and is no longer in Newegg’s possession, Seller is liable for the risk of loss and damage to the product.

Newegg Canada Marketplace Service Fee Tax
In order to comply with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations in remitting Canadian Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) or Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), all sellers selling on Newegg Canada Marketplace will be subject to service fee taxes for services provided by Newegg Canada Marketplace effective May 1, 2020.
Newegg Customer Message Attachment Released
Newegg Marketplace sellers are now able to send and receive messages with attachments for email communication with customers. We encourage both sellers and customers to utilize this feature for additional support, especially while communicating for returns.

Newegg Shipping Label Service API Functions and SBN Multi-channel Order Service Released
You can now take advantage of Newegg Shipping Label service with simplified new API functions. The key features- charge estimation, label request, and re-print labels are available with immediate responses.
Additionally, the “Signature Required” option is now available for Newegg Shipping Label service and Multi-channel fulfilled by SBN (Shipped by Newegg) service.
