Messages 3.0

Purpose:

This function allows you to engage with Newegg customers using new features that capture order information, enhancing the overall seller experience and productivity.

Accessing the Function:

  1. Go to the Seller Portal. Hover your mouse pointer over the list icon (upper left corner), then select “Messages.”

Available Platforms: Newegg.com, Neweggbusiness.com, Newegg.ca

Customer Message UI

UI Details:

(1) Shortcut to access Customer Messages.

(2) Customer message box summary – Automatically classifies messages based on content, response due date, and spam risk.

(3) Message List – Displays all related message lists based on the selection in (2).

    • Users can mark messages as “Unread” or “Starred” by clicking on the envelope or star icon, respectively.
    • An unread message will display a green bar on the message list.

    • This feature allows for quick filtering of the message list by date, response needed, starred, and unread.

(4)  Message Body – This section displays the message history, including the date and time sent.

(5) Customer Performance Metric – Provides statistics on the handling of customer messages.

(6) Customer Information – Shows statistics such as AOV (Average Order Value), valid order rate, and purchase statistics.

(7) Order Details – Provides order-related information as well as return details, reviews, and claims.

(8) Message Templates – Allows for the creation of message templates for quickly responding to commonly asked questions.

Message Templates

Set up reply templates to efficiently respond to customer messages. Follow the steps below to create a new template:

  1. Click on the “Use Template” icon next to (8) “Message Templates“.

2. Then click “MANAGE TEMPLATES” and click the “CREATE TEMPLATE” button to get started.

3. Configure template details, including template name, message body, placeholders/variables, and template tags

Note: Template tags are used for quick template searches during selection.

4. Click the “SAVE” button to complete the process.
