2025 Extended Holiday Return Policy
Give Shoppers Confidence This Holiday Season

Overview

To help sellers drive higher conversions and build customer trust during the peak shopping period, Newegg is introducing the 2025 Extended Holiday Return Policy, effective for purchases made between November 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025.

Qualifying products will automatically display a special “Extended Holiday Return Eligible” badge on the product page Buy Box. This highly visible callout helps shoppers quickly identify items covered under this extended return window, boosting confidence and reducing hesitation during gift-buying season.

Eligible orders will be accepted for refund or replacement through January 31, 2026, providing a longer and more flexible return experience for customers.

Action required

Complete the short enrollment form by 11:00 Am (PST) on October 31, 2025 to activate the Extended Return Policy for your store.   Extended Holiday Return Policy – Fill out form

How It Appears on Newegg.com

Participating products will include:

· A Buy Box badge labeled “Extended Holiday Return Eligible” to highlight coverage beside product pricing.

· Updated Warranty & Return Policy text, clearly stating the extended refund and replacement dates through January 31, 2026.

This activation serves as a powerful marketing tool, prominently featured in one of the highest-visibility areas of the product page. The badge and messaging help reassure customers and encourage conversions at checkout.

How to Enroll Sellers who wish to participate can opt in through the official enrollment form available here.

Once a seller opts in, the update is applied at the seller level, meaning:

· All eligible products under the seller’s catalog will automatically display the Extended Holiday Return Policy badge and follow the updated return window.

· The system will automatically revert to each seller’s original return policy on January 1, 2026, requiring no manual action.

While the Extended Holiday Return Policy is designed to be a seamless, seller-level activation, sellers technically have the ability to remove the policy mid-season by changing their return settings at the category level within Seller Portal.

Here’s how the opt-out logic functions:

1. Seller opts in and the system updates all eligible listings to the Extended Holiday Return Policy.

2. Seller later updates or modifies their return policy at the category level within Seller Portal.

3. The newly applied category-level policy overrides the Extended Holiday Return Policy.

4. All affected listings under that category will automatically lose the Extended Holiday Return badge and revert to the seller’s specified return terms.

Important: Newegg strongly discourages mid-season opt-outs. Removing the badge can create inconsistent customer experiences, reduce buyer confidence, and negatively impact conversion rates during peak season.
