MATCH List

Every seller on the Newegg Marketplace will be screened against the MATCH (Merchant Alert to Control High-risk) list after the application has been processed and then continuously after that. This list is a database of merchants and/or business owners whose accounts have been terminated or have been deemed a significant risk for payment processors for various reasons over the past five years.

All financial institutions, including MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express, rely on MATCH to screen sellers.

Due to Compliance requirements, Newegg must immediately remove any seller found on the MATCH List from Newegg’s seller platform.

About 5% of seller accounts require a secondary review from our payment processor. If your account is part of this small percentage, it will be temporarily inactivated for up to 3 business days pending review. If found on the MATCH list, the account will be removed; if not, Newegg will reactivate the account.
