View and Update Existing Promotion Codes

Once the promotion codes have been created sellers are able to view and update the status before or during the promotion start date/time.

Promotion Status:

  • Pending: Created but not approved. Will not go live at the set time unless approved. Sellers can edit promotion code details by clicking the icon under the Action column.
  • Approved: Created and approved. The official promotion code will be executed at the scheduled start date/time.
  • Declined: Promotion code that has been declined. Cannot modify it any further.
  • On Promotion: Promotion code that is currently ongoing.
  • Closed: Promotion code that has been closed either because it has ended or has been manually closed ahead of schedule.
  • Force Closed: Promotion code that has been closed ahead of schedule by administrator/account manager.

Available platforms: Newegg.com, Neweggbusiness.com, Newegg.ca

How-To:

  1. Go to Seller Portal and hover your mouse pointer over the list icon (upper left corner) then select Promotions > Promotion Code.
  2. Click SEARCH to view the promotion code list.  [Optional] Use ADVANCED SEARCH to narrow down the search list.
  3. To view details of the promotion code click icon under the Action column.
  4. Functions to manage promotion codes, select the promotion code(s) accordingly:
    • LOCK: Click to lock the promotion code and notify Newegg for more exposure.
    • UNLOCK: Click to unlock the promotion code and remove exposure from the promotional item(s).
    • VOID: Click to stop a pending promotional code.
    • FORCE CLOSE: Click to stop an approved promotional code.
    • APPROVE: Click to approve pending promotional code.
    • DECLINE: Click to reject pending promotional code. Functions to manage promotions, select the promotion(s) accordingly:

Key Features

The list view provides sellers with filtering capabilities and the opportunity to quickly locate promotion codes by product or directly view the discount type and value. This makes it easy and efficient to configure different discounts for multiple products with optimized displayed fields.


1. Enhanced List Filtering (New Filter Criteria: Newegg Item Number, Seller Part Number, Promotion Description, Brand Name)

The system now includes additional filter criteria, supporting both exact matches and partial (fuzzy) searches. This allows sellers to quickly locate the desired promotion codes.

 

Supported Filter Criteria

2. Display Discount Type and Value & Promotion Description

To improve the readability and management efficiency of the promotion code list, the system has added and optimized list fields. Sellers can quickly view the discount type and value of each promotion code directly in the list.

Highlighted Fields Description

Discount

  • A new “Discount” field has been added to clearly display the discount type and value of each promotion code.
  • Example Display Formats:
  • Fixed Amount Discount: $20 OFF
    • Percentage Discount (No Tiered Settings): 8% OFF
    • Percentage Discount (With Tiered Settings): 6%-8% OFF (Discount range from 6% to 8%)

 

Promotion Description (Description)

  • The list now directly displays the promotion description entered by the seller.
  • This helps sellers quickly distinguish the business context and purpose of different marketing campaigns.

3. Display rules

To reduce information clutter and layout congestion, the display rules for certain fields have been optimized.

Highlighted Display Rules

  • Creation Time
    • This is viewable only on the promotion code detail page.
  • Force Closed Time
    • When a promotion code is forcibly ended, the “Force Closed Time” is displayed below the promotion code status.
    • Visible only when the promotion code is in a forced-ended state.
  • The Promotion Period display (Start / End)
